MLILY Mattress Reviews In 2022: Buy Or Not To Buy
To begin with, what are the MLILY mattress reviews?
MLILY is a well-known international mattress brand that is sold at regional mattress retailers throughout the USA as well as on Amazon. It is best known for being a partner of Manchester United Football Club. Some of their mattresses feature trendy materials like bamboo charcoal and CBD infused fabric, which is a major differentiator vs many other online options. They blend these materials with foam focused mattresses with and without coils.
The mission of MLILY, which was established in 2003, is to make foam mattresses that sleep cool. More than 72 countries currently sell MLILY products. The MLILY USA factory is located in South Carolina, while the company’s headquarters are in Tennessee.

Are You The Right Candidate For The Mlily Fusion Luxe?
Let’s go over some fundamental reasons why the Mlily mattress might (or might not) be a great fit for you now that we’ve examined it in all its sinkable glory.
Mlily Recommendations
- Couples – The Mlily is a great option for couples because of its extremely low motion transfer. You have a good chance of sleeping through your partner dropping a bowling ball on the other side of the bed. Minimal nighttime disturbances are achieved by dense memory foam and significant sinkage.
- Side sleepers – This mattress appears to be almost made specifically for side sleepers, as I already mentioned. The Mlily has some of the best pressure map results I’ve ever seen, as well as enough memory foam to comfortably cradle a small elephant. This mattress’ lush softness and substantial pressure relief make it the perfect choice for side sleepers.
- Memory foam that sleeps cool – This bed’s use of a variety of technologies to keep you dry and cool while you sleep is without a doubt one of its coolest features. Since phase change material and gel-infused foam are used, the risk of overheating and excessively warm sleeping conditions is no longer a concern with memory foam.
Mlily Complaints
- Not great for stomach sleepers – The Mlily mattress probably isn’t the best option for you if you prefer to sleep on your stomach. The layers of the mattress are so incredibly soft and sinkable that they offer almost no support for the hips and even slightly misalign the spine. A mattress that is firmer, more supportive, and has more bounce will likely be necessary for stomach sleepers.
- Expensive – The Mlily is not exactly a cheap hotel at $2,550 for a Queen. The price of this bed, which is marketed as a high-end item, reflects the caliber of its construction and design. You might want to think about other brands in a less expensive price range if money is an issue and you want to save a few dollars.
Materials Quality Of MLILY Mattress
MLILY uses a variety of materials, some of which are quite trendy, such as bamboo charcoal foam and CBD-infused fabric that is available in some places. They also use Oeko-Tex certified textiles, and their foams are produced in accordance with the CertiPUR-US standard to prevent the release of harmful toxins. That said, customers have had mixed reviews in their responses to the comfort of the materials and the durability contained within them.
Firmness Of MLILY Mattress
I jumped onto the bed and laid flat on my back to start the firmness party. When I stretched out like that, I could feel my body sinking into the foam’s top layers, which caused my body to be highly contoured and relieved of pressure. The combo of gel memory foam and latex-like polyfoam made me feel cradled in the bed, rather than positioned on top of it.
Of course, everyone’s preferences for firmness and feel differ, so you might not find the bed to be exactly as soft as I did.
Soft Of MLILY Mattress
Considering that the industry standard for medium firmness is 6.5, this bed falls well below the threshold for medium firmness, and is undeniably soft.
I personally gave this bed a 5, as No matter where I was, I could easily sink into the top layers and felt somewhat engulfed in foam. Super soft beds like this one can sometimes make people feel “stuck” in the mattress, and This place definitely gave me that impression. However, the deep pressure relief and full-body contouring of this mattress may be loved by rigid side sleepers.
On the other hand, because I could feel my hips sunking quite deeply into the mattress, I probably wouldn’t recommend this bed for stomach sleepers. Deep sinkage quickly created tension in my lower body, a sign that this bed is probably too soft for those who doze in the prone position as they need firm support at the hips to keep the spine in proper alignment.
Pressure Map Of MLILY Mattress
We are all aware of the value of a mattress’ material, size, and price. But pressure is yet another crucial component. Before buying, it’s always a smart idea to find out if the mattress forms pressure points along the body.
Back
On my back, I had the sensation of falling into the mattress. Under my weight, both of the top layers of foam easily compressed, filling up all gaps between me and the mattress and causing a little hip tension. It was tricky to move around in this position, which did contribute to that “stuck” feeling I mentioned earlier.
Side
The Mlily works particularly well if you prefer to sleep on your side. The above solid blue color shows that this mattress maintains low, evenly distributed pressure when used for side sleeping. I felt fantastic pressure relief here, with no tension at my hips and shoulders, and a definite sense of being cushioned, not crammed. For side sleepers, the absence of yellow color is a positive sign.
Stomach
As I rolled onto my stomach, I felt my back slightly arch as my hips sank into the plush top layers. While I did feel some pressure relief, I could sense that the softness was overwhelming in this position. For stomach sleepers who require more support and resistance to maintain the spine in proper alignment, the Mlily is probably not the best option due to the tension it causes in the spine and hips.
Sinkage Of MLILY Mattress
Sinkage, as opposed to lying “on” a bed, gives the impression that you are dozing off in it. While stomach sleepers frequently feel swamped or stuck in sinkage, side sleepers typically enjoy it for its deep pressure relief.
I used four different balls—not soccer balls, don’t worry—a 6 lb medicine ball, a 10 lb steel ball, a 50 lb medicine ball, and a 100 lb medicine ball—of varying sizes and densities to simulate the sinkage of this bed. I then measured how much the balls compressed the surface.
The varying sizes, weights, and densities are intended to mimic various body parts and various sizes of sleepers.
- 6 lb medicine ball: 1.5 inches of sinkage.
- 10 lb steel ball: 2.5 inches of sinkage.
- 50 lb medicine ball: 5 inches of sinkage.
- 100 lb medicine ball: 6.5 inches of sinkage.
These results are some of the deepest sinkage numbers I’ve ever seen on a bed-in-a-box mattress. Although the depth of sinkage surprised me a little, these findings are understandable given the bed’s super-soft foam construction. As I mentioned earlier, I experienced little resistance as I sank into the mattress while lying on my stomach, side, and back. No matter how you position yourself on this bad boy, I have a feeling that you’ll feel much more “in” the bed than “on” it. This bed might not be for you if you dislike feeling encased in foam or trapped in it. However, if you like a lot of sinkage and deep pressure relief, this bed probably fits your needs perfectly.
Construction Of MLILY Mattress
The Mlily Fusion Luxe is a hybrid mattress made of foam and pocket springs that is layered heavily with high density polyfoam, latex-like polyfoam, and memory foam. From top to bottom, the bed is just over a foot (12.5 inches).
Let’s dive in and examine each of these individual layers in more detail to see how all these materials interact with one another.
Cover – The Mlily cover is a cooling knit fabric of polyester and Spandex, spun with polyethylene Phase Change Material, or Even though NASA originally developed PCM for astronaut gloves, it is now frequently used in bedding to control temperature. By having it, the fabric is made to be cool to the touch and breathable.
Comfort – Gel memory foam, known for its slow response to pressure and luxurious texture, gives the bed a super soft, sinkable feel right off the bat. The open-cell construction of this specific gel memory foam, known as AirCell Foam, also improves airflow and promotes cool sleep.
Bounce – This layer is adaptable, breathable, and supportive thanks to its inch and a half of polyfoam, or “Smart Foam,” as Mlily calls it. Mlily describes Smart Foam as “Latex-like,” given its comfortable mix of bouncy support and cushy, stretchy softness. Compared to the memory foam above, this material reacts to pressure more quickly, which results in more immediate pressure relief.
Transition – Next up, a transition layer of Aero-Flex foam adds firmness and support, helping to disperse body weight gently through the bed. This layer has slightly less cushioning and is firmer than the foams above it. The aerodynamic shape of Aero-Flex Foam, which maximizes airflow and body contouring, gives it its name.
Support layer – The bed’s pocketed coil system provides bounce and stability, allows for ease of motion, and helps to counterbalance the bed’s many layers of lush foam. High density polyfoam surrounds this layer of coils to create a smooth transition from coils to foam.

Mlily Information
Mlily, a Chinese mattress manufacturer, was established in 2003 with the intention of altering cultural perspectives on sleep as an essential element of good health. The largest Chinese manufacturer of memory foam by 2011 was Mlily. In 2016, Mlily teamed up with the British football team Manchester United in a clever marketing move that increased brand awareness and connected the Mlily mattress to the pinnacle of physical performance.
The design of the pocketed coil system is another distinguishing aspect of the Mlily brand. The Mlily wraps its coil foundation in an additional layer of high-density polyfoam, which makes the bounce of the coils feel less abrupt and more uniform throughout the mattress, unlike most hybrid mattresses that transition directly from foam layers into coils or springs.
